Ariège region is one of the most beautiful zones to practice cycle touring. Its narrow roads, in the middle of leafy forests and unique vegetation make it one of the most desired tours for cyclists to climb mountain passes.
Ax Les Thermes is the capital of this region, known internationally for its thermal waters and its gastronomic and cultural richness.
This region of Southern France area that borders Andorra has many well-known mountain passes thanks to the Tour de France, such as Port de Pailhères, with its 2000 meters of altitude and its narrow snaking road, as well as the Plateau de Bielle, one of the hardest passes of the region.
On the other side, we will find two completely unknown mountain passes: Col de Chioula, as well as one of 39×25’s favorites, Col du Pradel, an authentic colossus that will delight our customers.
39×25 Cycling Tours proposes three routes in this magnificent area of the French Pyrinees. Two of them departing from and ending at Puigcerdà (our company headquarters), and the third one taking place in Ariège.
You can choose when you want to “taste” this authentic zone of cycle touring, which we believe will make many cyclists return to complete all of its amazing climbs.
